In an alternate version of the story, Sarah awaits the arrival of her boyfriend, takes off her shoes, and lies comfortably on the couch... unaware that Neil has shrunken to the size of a bug and that he's right in front of the gigantic (in his eyes) soles of her feet.
Neil climbs Sarah's foot to try and reach the highest point of the big toe so that he can get her attention.
