Spider-Man had traced Doc Ock to his secret base of operations and engaged him in yet another intense struggle. As the heated battle carried on, some new chemicals Ock had been working on broke, filling the room with strange fumes. Much to their surprise, they both shrunk to the size of mere insects. This didn't keep them from continuing their fighting... until a loud vibration broke their focus.
Black Cat had entered the room from the doorway. She and Spidey had recently resumed their relationship and she was coming to make sure he was alright. Spotting the two shrunken men on the ground, Felicia was pleased to see that this was going to be a lot easier than she thought. Much to Spider-Man's dismay, Felicia didn't exactly share all of his ethics: to end the fight, she merely stepped on Ock.
